The Crown of Life: A Journey of Awakening and Artistic Connection

This painting finds its inspiration in the number seven, which is a number that represents completion. When I was drawing and designing this, it seemed to have a very crown-like feel to it with the perimeter circles. Then, the points in the middle, also have a very crown-like feel to them.

For me this series is about an awakening of life, and The Crown of Life speaks to the idea that life is the crown. For me, this painting is a reminder to live well and to be aware of the life that you have and to live it worthy of the crown.

On an aesthetic level I like the way that the colors are blended with this one. I was able to do more with my shading, and overall, I really like how color-wise, it's connected to Eyes Like Fire. There's a theme that was a subconscious thing that happened here because I didn't consciously pick my colors. I really went on instinct with these. I used the same base colors, but where they were placed was all on instinct. So it's really cool to see the connection of the colors between The Crown of Life and Eyes Like Fire and how they transition very naturally together.
